New Album Recorded

The studio drumkit, taking a well-earned rest!

How do you follow Moog Maximus? With a monster of a record thatʼs how. The Bongolian has been busy recording his latest album and we can finally reveal all recording is complete!

This album sees the Bongolian delve deep into the polyrhythmic world of percussion. Massive influences such as Tito puente, the undisputed king of the timbales, Ray Barretto, Mongo Santamaria, Willie Colon have all left their mark on Nasser – you can hear these influences all over this beautiful new disk full of pulsating grooves heavy hitting bongo solos and motifs.

The record just needs to be mixed and mastered now – The Bongolian will be travelling to Oslo, Norway to link up with legendary producer Nick Terry (The Libertines, Crystal Castles, Ian Brown).

The album will be released on Blow Up Records in Summer 2019 so keep your eyes peeled for more information!

Recent highlights include NYE at the Sage, Gateshead with Vintage Trouble, the Cult music Festival, Cosmic Trip, in Bourge, France, Germany’s 2 Men From L.I.N.Z Weekender, Looe Festival In Cornwall , the award winning Good Life Experience, Port Elliot festival and a sold out show in Brighton.
